Use cases

One planning tool for every big job your company takes on.

Launching a product, raising a round, opening a new market, growing revenue: each is a goal with a team behind it and a handful of things in the way. Clearahead gives every one of them the same simple shape, and lets you run them side by side. Here’s how leadership teams use it.

Pick the job you’re working on.

Every use case works the same way.

Big company goals usually fail for the same reason. Not a lack of effort, but too much of it, spread across too many things. Clearahead is built on the Theory of Constraints: at any moment, one or two things are really holding a goal back. Clear those and everything else gets easier. Read why in Remove constraints, don’t add initiatives.

So whatever the job, the shape is the same: one goal, the constraints in the way, in order, and the moves to clear each one, with an owner on every move. AJ, the AI inside Clearahead, does the asking and the admin. Your team does the thinking and the deciding. Learn more about the model or meet AJ.

  1. 01

    Set the goal.

Talk AJ through what you’re trying to achieve. It helps you write the goal, why it matters and how you’ll know it’s done.

  2. 02

    Find what’s in the way.

AJ asks the questions a good adviser would and helps you find the few constraints really holding the goal back, in order.

  3. 03

    Move on it.

Each constraint gets a few moves, each with one owner and a date. People update AJ in a sentence when the work moves.

  4. 04

    Clear it, find the next.

AJ keeps the plan current, writes a brief every Monday and suggests the next moves when a constraint clears.

Run several at once.

No company works on one goal at a time. You might be growing revenue, launching a product and raising a round in the same quarter, with the same leadership team. In most companies those live in separate decks, spreadsheets and tools, and nobody can see where one is pulling people away from another.

In Clearahead each goal is a workspace, and the leadership team sees them all in one place. That’s what keeps the whole company aligned: everyone can see every goal, what’s in the way and who’s on it.

The workspace switcher in the Clearahead header: Commercial growth, US market launch and Series A fundraise, each with its goal.
  • A workspace for each goal.

Each goal gets its own constraints, moves, evidence and weekly brief. Up to 10 on the Clearahead plan, at no extra cost.

  • One team, one bill.

People and billing are shared across the organisation. Someone can own moves in several workspaces without a second account.

  • One view of your own work.

My work shows each person what needs them across every workspace, and their summary email covers them all.

Questions.

What can Clearahead be used for?

Any big job a company takes on that has a clear goal and needs more than one team: a go-to-market plan, a product launch, revenue growth, a profit improvement plan, scaling, an acquisition, a fundraise, a new market, AI adoption or customer retention. Each one gets its own workspace.

Can we run several of these at once?

Yes. That’s how most companies use it. Each goal has its own workspace, and the Clearahead plan includes up to 10, with unlimited people. The free plan has one workspace, for up to three people.

Is Clearahead a strategic planning tool?

Yes, for the part of strategy that has to keep moving. Clearahead holds each company goal, what’s holding it back and the moves to clear it, and AJ keeps it current. It doesn’t replace the thinking at your strategy day; it makes sure that thinking is still being acted on in week six.

How is this different from a project management tool?

Project tools track tasks. Clearahead tracks the goal and the few constraints in the way of it, and decides what’s worth doing. Keep Asana, Monday, Jira or Linear for the doing. See Monday vs Clearahead.

What if our use case isn’t listed?

If it has a goal you can measure and needs more than one team to reach it, it will work in Clearahead. Restructures, exit readiness, hiring plans and big operational changes all follow the same loop. Tell us about it.

How much does it cost?

Free for up to three people and one workspace, with full access to AJ and no card. Then £297 a month or £2,997 a year ($397 or $3,997) for the whole company, with unlimited people and up to 10 workspaces. See pricing.
