Where ideas live before they start, how work outside a constraint still counts, and where cleared and set-aside items go.
Ideas are things your team could do, kept outside the model until someone starts one. Open the Ideas panel from the link under the model and click Log an idea. AJ asks what it is, why it would help and what makes you think so. When an idea clearly fits a constraint, AJ says so on the card, with Add it there. To start an idea, drag it onto a constraint or Other work, or use Move to…. It becomes a move to start, with the same title, and leaves the Ideas panel. Viewers can log ideas too.
Some work moves the goal without sitting under a constraint. Put it in Other work, below + New constraint. It counts towards the goal, a little less than a move that eases a constraint. You can drag a move between constraints, into Other work or back to Ideas at any time. AJ’s view of the fit is a guide, never a gate. Its evidence and history go with it.
In Plan next moves, AJ suggests moves for the constraint you picked. To add one of your own, click + Build your own move under the suggestions. AJ helps you shape it and says how well it fits the constraint. Your moves sit in a Your moves group, already selected, and asking AJ for more suggestions never changes them.
When a constraint is cleared, mark it Completed. AJ remembers how you cleared it and brings it up if something similar appears later. Constraints that turned out to be duplicates, superseded or not relevant go to Archived, along with ideas you’ve set aside. AJ ignores what’s archived. Open either panel from the links under the model, and use Restore to put something back.
A constraint or move keeps a record of how it changed. Open its page and step back through Past versions to see what it said before, and who changed it.
