The different ways to start a conversation with AJ, and what each one is for.
You can start a new conversation with AJ from the launcher, or open one directly from a specific Model item’s Details panel.
The launcher offers four guided session types.
This appears before you have an active Goal. Its job is to help you turn an ambition into one clear direction the company can commit to, in language people can actually repeat.
AJ helps shape the Goal, but does not choose it for you.
Use this when you need to surface, test or revisit Constraints. It is the best starting point when something feels stuck and you want to work out whether you’re looking at the real blocker or just a symptom.
Use this when the issue is not “what is wrong?” but “where should attention go next?” AJ uses the current Model to help you focus on the few areas that deserve discussion now.
This is a structured review for leadership conversations. It is designed to help the group walk through three things: has the focus Constraint moved, does the diagnosis still hold, and what is decided next?
You can also open a conversation directly from a Model item’s Details panel.
When you do, AJ starts by asking what you want to work through about that specific item. If the item has gone quiet for a few weeks, has an overdue due date, or is missing an owner, AJ will nudge you about that first so it is easier to spot drift.
That makes item-level sessions useful for checking progress, filling in gaps, or deciding whether something still belongs in the Model at all.
Ask AJ
“Start a Catch-up and walk me through whether our focus Constraint has actually moved.”
“Open a session on this Move — I want to work through why it’s slipped.”
